Understatement: Jack Loves Food.

From the moment he had his first spoonful of applesauce, he was hooked. Forget the rice cereal, which he had tried just a few short weeks before.... bring on the stuff with flavor.

The only time Jack has turned down any type of anything to put into his mouth was when he tried pureed green beans. Even then, he'd still open his mouth for it as he was crying and shaking his head. He has since had whole green beans and loves 'em.

While he is down right greedy when he eats, I love watching the kid go to town on whatever is in front of him... and when it stays on his face long enough for me to snap a picture.
He loves, especially, things he can't have. Like the Reece's he's reaching for below (with fierce determination on his face, I might add). Halloween was a particularly cruel holiday for him.

We knew that Jack's life revolved around food, but it wasn’t until Thanksgiving dinner that we knew how much.

This is our sweet little Jack when he had food.
...And this is our sweet little Jack, politely letting us know when he needed more.
Talk about Jekyll and Hyde...
We have created a monster.

Chris has said a couple of times that he wonders why he's so hungry all of the time. It's then that I have to remind him of who his father is. The man with a hollow leg... literally. I have no idea where he puts the food he devours. He's the man who, after eating entire three-course meals, says he's starving. I think it began when his mother would place a bottle in each corner of the crib every night and discover them, empty, on the floor the next morning. After 28 years, he's still hungry. All the time.

My father-in-law told me long ago that if there were any justice in the world, we'll have kids like Chris. Looks like I'm in for it... starting with Chris Jr, pictured above.

These pictures are priceless! Love him reaching for the Reeses. So funny! The last two are hilarious! Enjoy him eating everything because I have a picky eater on my hands which provides frustration for her mommy on many a day. She can only eat so many hot dogs, I mean, come on, kiddo! lol

Hey Heidi! Thanks for inviting me to see your blog! Love it. SUCH cute pictures of you and Chris and of course the adorable Jack! I loved reading your stories and descriptions. :)
And I have a husband who also never gets full. He tells me that he thinks his mind is missing that special wiring that tells your body when to stop eating. :) Maybe when we have a boy one day he'll turn out the same too!
