This was the best dance last night. It's not the greatest video quality, but for those who still enjoy the videos from So You Think You Can Dance (Holly), I hope you enjoy it!

Help!
I love my job... when my boss is here. When he is not, I have nothing to work with. I'm his assistant, and if he doesn't give me anything, I am on my own. This week is the first that I have had entirely to myself. Yup. The whole thing. And it's only Wednesday. (Sigh...)
While I have had small projects here and there to do, the rest of the time the internet and I have become better friends. I just finished the book I was reading, but I can't start another one
when Breaking Dawn is coming out in three days. I took a lunch already so I can't leave to go for a walk... and I have no reason to go wandering around the office looking for something to
do - I know exactly how everything looks right now. There is nothing to be done.
So, here I sit... and vent. And blog. And surf the internet, hoping to find something to perk my interest. Not to mention snacking... Axiom keeps a well-stocked kitchen full of munchies. Pretzels, m&m's, goldfish, vanilla wafers, oreos, swedish fish.... It's unfortunate for me, because if I would let myself, there would be stopping me. Thank goodness for self-discipline... though, on days like these, what are you gonna do? Everyone has weaknesses...
While on the net, I have found some articles that have taken me by surprise, actually. If any of you are interested in hearing a story about two women who had no idea they were pregnant until giving birth, click here: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Parenting/story?id=5470808&page=1
If any of you have any suggestions for me, please let me know. Perhaps reading the countless children's books here in the library? For now, I will sit and think of nothing as I search for something that will be of worth to get paid for.

Memory Lane...
MEMORY LANE- This will be fun! This is just too fun to pass up. Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! I guess good or bad, but be nice!!!!!!!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Catching Up
It's been a fun week. I'll start with last saturday, when we had a girls night and saw "Mama Mia." It didn't compare to the play of course, but it was cute, and for the most part I was pleasantly surprised. Except that Pierce Brosnan probably should not sing. Ever. But, I was impressed with Meryl Streep. Her "Winner Takes It All" was fantastic.
For Father's Day, I bought my dad tickets for he and my mom to come with me to see John Mayer at the Usana Amphitheater. It was AWESOME! He is incredible. We were way in the back on the grass, but I don't think there's a better way to see a concert than sitting out on the grass under the stars. We had a great time.
I couldn't get the greatest pictures,
but here are the best ones that I did get.
And Colbie Caillet opened for him! Overall, she did really well also.
Dad and Mom
Me and Dad
Me and Mom
All of us
The next night, the Martin family came to visit! The Martins are a wonderful family from my mission in Fresno. Kevin (on the left) entered the MTC on Wednesday, and they were kind enough to come and visit while they were here.
They are wonderful people who mean so much to me. So many memories...
Kevin, Greg, Debbie and me
They came to my parents' house and had dessert. This is Kevin with his mountain-sized piece of cake (though you can't tell just how big it is in the picture).
Kevin and I weren't ever able to hug on my mission (obviously), and he was set apart when they came to visit. Maybe one day I'll get a hug.
Next.... SURPRISE! While I was on my mission, Chris watched American Idol and fell in love with Kellie Pickler. Though she's not known as the brightest blonde in the world:
Actually, in his words, "She's dumb as rocks, but she's so hot." So a few months ago, my friend Jenny and I decided to surprise Chris and take him to her concert. Let me tell you, he was surprised. We weren't sure it was such a good surprise at first, though. Before the concert, he was talking about how he had had his fill of country concerts (he's been to about two his whole life... one that I know of for sure). Uh.... oops. I was excited to see his reaction, though. I knew
that he didn't care to see her perform. It was kind of a joke anyway. Our alibi was that we were going to play games at a park with friends after dinner. We pulled into the Sandy
Amphitheater, and I'm not sure he knew what to think. He was
waiting to see a name of hear who it was (because by this point he had figured out we were taking him to a concert), and as we were walking up the lawn, they announced her name. He just looked at me and shook his head. It was so funny. We actually all really enjoyed the show, and I was very impressed with her. She's a great performer, and you can tell she loves it. She sounded excellent, too. We did all go to cold stone afterwards, though. My favorite is the Founder's Favorite - sweet cream ice cream with pralines, brownie, caramel and fudge. Mm mm good.
The great thing about the Sandy Amphitheater is that if you don't have a good seat (again, were all the way in the back), you can move wherever you want to to get a good picture. Here are some of them.
Me and Jen... please excuse how high I look
Bryant and Chris... being dorks
Me and Chris. Thanks honey, for being a good sport and for spending time with me!
Here are some videos from the concerts. They're not the most steady (what can I say? I stink at video taping), but I know that my sisters will enjoy them. Thanks, guys. :)
John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change"
This one was a guy at Kellie Pickler who was certainly into this number she sang. It was too great not to video - or post, for that matter. The woman in the white tank looked at us as we were taping him, and she looked like she was ready for a fight. Luckily she didn't come over.
This is Kellie Pickler's rendition of "Working 9-5" by Dolly Parton. I thought of you Holly, when she performed this - sorry it's blurry!
Kellie's first hit, "Red High Heels"
Thanks for enjoying our small little life... :)
Down To The Wire
Top eight dancers: Will, Twitch, Joshua, Mark, Comfort, Courtney, Chelsie and Katee. Soon it willl be the top four.... who do you think it will be? As of right now, I think it will be Will, Twitch, Chelsie and Katee. Or Courtney. It's hard to tell!
Anyway... there were a lot of great dances on Wednesday night (sorry I am late getting posting this), but these were my two favorites.

Heaven on Earth
Ah.. what can I say? While this shot probably says it all, I will share with you just how wonderful Lake Powell was this trip. Of course it's long - I always take more pictures than is necessary, but I hope you enjoy it anyway!
This is our boat. Of course, I didn't think about taking one while it was IN the water, but here she is after the trip.
Lake Powell is heaven on earth for me for many reasons. One of the greater ones is that you can wake up like this every day and it doesn't matter.
Two, you can spend all day in the water on one of these floaties. I definitely recommend one to everyone. This is my sister Heather and I
My cousins Karson and Micah with Chris. They don't quite look so pretty...
Probably because they were bracing themselves for the intruder coming their way! (My dad)
There are endless things to do at Powell. Here is my bro-in-law Jeff with my niece Cessna on the wave runner. Cessna loves it, and wants to go faster than is probably good for her. On a later trip with my aunt Margo, they were taking it slow - after all, the girl is only five years old - and she says to Margo, "Margo, did you know - that if you hit the gas on this, it can get you where you want to go?"
This is a homemade ramp designed to jump off the top of the boat. You can see Karson's legs if you look closely.
Here he is in mid-air
And of course, wakeboarding. Here are a few shots of the boys.
Chris
And a graceful shot
Walter
Karson
The next shots are some strange ones... the boys take whatever they have and decide to get crazy. Here they are, being dragged - by the rope, behind the boat.... this just doesn't quite appeal to me, but they had fun, and it was fun to watch.
Walter
Karson
And the good old two skis... this is my mom.
Next: Enter - Molecule. The molecule is what everyone looks forward too. It is the epitomy of unsafe... and we love it! We pile as many people as we can on, everyone grabs a handle, and hopes they don't die. Looks innocent enough here, but enjoy the action below.
The girl run, commonly known as "the princess run."
Next are the boys. They weigh slightly more than the girls, so at first they weren't seem to be going very fast, even with the boat at full speed.
But it got faster as more and more people fell off... and they go as far as standing up - with the only thing to hold onto being each other. I was on this run... too much fun.
Trying to stand... and being squished in the process
You're in for a wild ride when you decide to jump on the molecule - case in point with this picture. My uncle Marin's face (in the front) says it all... while my dad is literally holding on for dear life on the left.
Having a blast
All of the extreme sports and playing makes everyone tired - here is Heather and Lance taking a little snoozer.
Mmmm... Breakfast time! Heather, Cessna and Lance
Cheese!
Look what uncle Chris did to me! I have chest hair! And quite uneven chest hair at that... just like his :)
My dad and his sister Pixie
Aww....
Me and Heather - we miss you, Holly, as always!
Lance and Heather
My cousin Maddie and I
Cessna
Chris
Daniella, Cessna and I on the speedboat
And of course... the traditional Lake Powell dance party (required by my mom each trip)
Uncle Marina and Dad doing their Blues Brothers routine. I have a video of it, but it's too dark to see!
And the girls' pedicure and facial party. :)
We had a blast. Below are some videos for those who are still reading this and are interested!
Here is a small idea of how fast the molecule can go. I think my dad falls off in this one?
Here is one of Chris running and jumping off the homemade ramp
One of Karson jumping
This is another crazy boy thing... Karson and Chris jumping off the speedboat backwards
One of Chris Wakeboarding. Please keep in mind that it's difficult to keep the camera steady when you are filming from the back of a speedboat.
And last but not least, this is for my nephew Robby. He is obsessed with the alphabet, and he will love this. We love and miss you, Robby!
